Charity Golf Day 2022 – Spaces Available
We are partnering Nicholas Associates Group Ltd to host a Golf Day to raise funds to support the Archer Project, supporting people from sleeping bag to employment.
The Archer Project was founded in response to a decade of decline following the upheaval of Sheffield’s core industries in the 1980’s which caused rising levels of unemployment, poverty and poor health.
By 1989 Sheffield Cathedral had become a regular place of shelter for people who had nowhere else to go and nothing to do. The Archer Project has since established itself as a city centre venue where homeless people feel welcomed and are offered support to move away from homelessness.
The event takes place at Wortley Golf Club, situated in an idyllic village setting nearby to Wortley Hall and just a short drive from Barnsley, Rotherham, Doncaster, and Sheffield city centre. Wortley’s undulating fairways will ensure golfers of any handicap will enjoy playing on the course’s picturesque layout, especially surrounded by its dramatic woodland and free-roaming game.
Golfers will begin their round with breakfast rolls and after 18 holes enjoy a 2 course meal back at the clubhouse.
The event will be a 4 ball better-ball stableford format. With individual and team challenges throughout the day, with prizes to be won.
